RISE is a grassroots nonprofit that was founded in 2014, its mission is putting an end to acid violence globally. The coalition was launched by Angie Vredeveld, a clinical psychologist who believed that meaningful change could be made through connecting and empowering individuals that are passionate about resolving the problem.
