Bullying, Crimes Against Humanity, Hate Crimes, Human Rights Abuse, Terrorism
In 1913, ADL was founded on Jewish values that inform their work, how they operate and the changes they seek in the world. It has always meant stopping anti-Semitism and defending the Jewish people. But today, it also means fighting threats to our very democracy, including cyber-hate, bullying, bias in schools and in the criminal justice system, terrorism, hate crimes, coercion of religious minorities, and contempt for anyone who is different. ADL has accomplished a great deal but much work is left to be done. Wanting an ever-more just society, ADL continually develops new programs, policies and skills to expose and combat whatever holds us back.
