Our Mission
We Oppose Violence Everywhere Now (WOVEN) is a nonprofit organization based out of New York that aspires to end violence in our lifetime. WOVEN is built on the paradigm that engaging youth is a necessary and effective way to eliminate violence. This includes restorative practices, conflict resolution, addressing mental health, and sharing tools for effective communication. We believe that by providing resources to the adults of the future, through program-based initiatives and art activism, WOVEN can provide creative solutions to conflict. WOVEN acknowledges that violence of any kind creates an unhealthy society and through sharing knowledge we can shake these violent foundations.
Our Story
WOVEN, launched in November 2013, is a nonprofit organization that serves as a platform to take action using innovative, new solutions for solving today’s issues of violence. Over the past decade, WOVEN has expanded its vision to end violence against humanity, end intentional cruelty against animals, and find solutions to protect and preserve our natural environment.
WOVEN seeks to create an interactive space for all those around the world, sharing the vision to end violence. By promoting non-violence advocates, their events and their work we will be able to harness the greatest power of humanity- the power of our collective will.
