Peace on Earth Day
Peace on Earth Day is a monthly day of observance celebrated on the 25th of each month that is dedicated to nonviolence towards ecology and the environment. It aims to unify the concepts that all life on planet earth is deserving of dignity and protection and that environmental habitats should be protected from harmful human impact. Peace on Earth Day can be understood as a day of rest and ceasefire from violence towards all life. Its observance includes, but is not limited to: abstention from cruelty or violence towards animals for recreation or food production, celebration of the diversity of world religions, and gatherings among family and friends to share food or peaceful ideas. It is also dedicated to the celebration of individuals and organizations that have devoted themselves to ending violence towards other species and the environment.
