Planet-Friendly Root Beer Float
Serves 1
2 scoops Oatly or other non-dairy vanilla ice cream
1 ½ cups root beer
1. Add non-dairy ice cream to a tall glass. Pour root beer over the top. Enjoy immediately with a metal straw!
Coconut Whip (optional)
3 tablespoons unsweetened coconut cream, chilled overnight
3 tablespoons maple syrup
1. Add coconut cream and maple syrup to a small mixing bowl. Mix lightly with a hand mixer until light and creamy. Serve on top of ice cream and root beer.
Chocolate Syrup (optional)
1 tablespoons cocoa powder
2 tablespoons maple syrup
1 pinch of salt
1 cherry, halved and pitted
1. Add 2 tablespoons of the maple syrup to a small mixing bowl. Sift in cocoa powder and add salt. Whisk several minutes until the mixture reaches a uniform consistency. Drizzle over the root beer float with a spoon and garnish with the cherry halves.
